  34. Once Lightwave supports OpenGL, there will be a multitude of video
  35. adapter upgrades available based on various chipsets (the GLINT set
  36. comes to mind) that will offer 300,000+ polygon shading performance
  37. at a >$1,000 price point.

  39. IMO, our Alpha-based BarnStormer will continue to provide the optimum
  40. price/performance for Lightwave users for some time. And, once 
  41. something better emerges, we will work hard to provide it as well.

  43. Some SGI systems will still provide greater on screen rendering
  44. performance, but at a substancially higher price and with optimized
  45. applications.
